I've been playing WoW since December, 2004, which means I'm coming up to five years now. Why is that?
The one reason I haven't left is people. I don't think I'd be letting Arthas down if I left but I would feel bad about leaving my 10 and25 man raids missing a healer. I'm also still enjoying the game but a strong part of the reason I keep playing is the social aspect of the game and it's that aspect that I'd like to write about in this blog.
There are a lot of great blogs out there about all number of aspects of the game: PvE, PvP, Specific Classes, Roles, Professions, even about playing the Auction House but I haven't seen many that talk mostly about the social aspect of the game. And there are a lot of interesting things that emerge when you throw thousands of people together in a world as big as Azeroth. Loot rules, guild interactions, raid drama and even the language of the game are things that interest me a great deal and those are the things I want to focus on here.
And that's why there's a blog here.
